If you want LOTS & LOTS of free stuff, follow my blog by RSS feed or email or Facebook. And, yes, this is for real and not a scam. I really don't think a day goes by without getting something free...sometimes it's just sample size of shampoo or moisturizer but I frequently get $50-$100 products (mainly high end beauty products thanks to Allure's monthly promos) and there have also been a few occasions where I've gotten things valued over $100 (Reeboks, Naturalizer heels,TopStyler curlers). People often ask me what type of free things I get but I get but it is such a wide range of products, its hard for me to answer.
If you're interested in freebie hunting, I have a few suggestions to get you started:
*Set up an "extra" email address and Facebook account. You can create a free email account using Gmail (or other online email service).
*I also recommend using RSS feeds - this is true even if you're not interested in freebies. RSS is the best way to keep up with changes from just about any website. Here is a blog post I wrote awhile back about the greatness of RSS Feeds.
*One more useful tip, install LastPass. Again, this is really helpful even if you're not interested in freebie hunting. LastPass is software that remembers your passwords, fills forms and much more. Clink this link for a blog post about LastPass. Or better yet, go here to learn more about LastPass and download/install it.
So these suggestions should help get you started getting some free things. PLEASE don't hesitate to comment or email me if you have any questions or want me to help in any way!
This blog was created with the intention of sharing legit freebies, promos, and savings (because there are A LOT of scams out there).
I also want to share computer and software tips and tricks, such as the greatness that is Picasa (for pictures and videos - I get into that more if anyone is interested). So if you have any suggestions for blog posts about computer / software tips or if you have any computer / software questions, PLEASE let me know! You can comment to this post or send me an email.

LastPass
When it comes to freebie hunting, LastPass is almost a must, especially for promos that you have to be really quick to get (P&G giveaways, Allure, etc). It is also incredibly useful even if you're not into promos.
LastPass is an extension that can be used to fill forms, remember passwords, automatically log you into website and/or generate more secure passwords.
LastPass is a free application that can be used with most browsers. It can also be used on Android - either by purchasing app or use free by creating bookmarklets.
This probably doesn't give enough explanation so visit their site to learn more or comment/email me for more info.

I've already gotten $50 gift card (I choose Walmart, but they have tons stores/rewards) and have enough points to get another $50. All that in about 1.5 years and I could have gotten MUCH, MUCH more if I would take more of the surveys (just don't have enough time)

Allure Freebies Tips & Tricks
Allure Tips & Tricks (About.com article for Allure Tips)
When it comes to freebies, Allure is pretty much the holy grail. Full sized free products offered every month.
When it comes to freebies, Allure is pretty much the holy grail. Full sized free products offered every month.
And, as awesome as Allure is for promos, the month of August takes it to a whole new level!
However, there are thousands (and thousands) of people trying to get at most 500 items (and some are as low 50). So to actually get the items, you gotta know what you're doing and how to do.
I can tell you some of my secrets and I win pretty much every item every month all year long.
Create an account on Allure.com and go to the Free Stuff link then the entry form before the time of the giveaway. Make sure all fields are filled in-most should automatically be completed if you’re logged in, but make sure the birthday, subscription choice, and then the 4 yes/no questions at the bottom are completed.
Next, may want to sync clock in Windows – right click on the time in bottom right corner and select “Adjust Date & Time”. Go to “Internet Time” tab & select “Change Settings”, a new window will open asking to confirm this option and select “Continue” then select “Update Now”. You can skip the syncing step all together or only do it once/day.
Now you want to be able to see a clock that displays the time including seconds. You can use the Windows clock -open it by right clicking on the time and just leave that window open or open a tab in web browser with atomic clock (this one needs Java enabled or you have to manually refresh).
Click “Submit” on Allure’s entry form when the hour, min & seconds all are exactly as stated. For every month other than August, Allure does these giveaways at noon usually every weekday during the 1st full week of the month

You've GOT to try this! - RSS Feeds
What's an RSS Feed?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds are a way for websites to distribute new content as it becomes available. RSS alerts you to a website's newest headlines and features.
Think of an RSS feed as a file that contains a blog or website's most recent entries. By subscribing to a site's feed, you will automatically be notified when that website contains new posts or entries.
Instead of checking sites repeatedly for updates or receiving too many email newletters, RSS feeds bring your favorite websites to you!
How can I read RSS Feeds?
You need a free RSS "aggregator" or reader. Some readers run on your desktop and are as easy to use as common e-mail software, while others are web-based.
Here are some my favorite reader options:
- Google Reader - pretty easy to set up & use and you probably already have a Google account (like Gmail, Picasa, iGoogle). This is a web based reader - which means you go to
- FeedDemon – this is a desktop application that runs similar to MS Outlook. This is a great program that can be used "as-is" but is also very customizable
(orange square w/ white lines). When you see it on a website, clicking will usually direct you to that site's feed.
From there, you can either copy and paste the link to subscribe to the feed in Reader, or in the case of many browsers, click a button to subscribe directly.
